We are now (as of December) living in a house. Its a “manufactured home,” but its quite nice. We have a big yard and lots of room and privacy. We live on a dead-end street, so it really quiet, almost like living in the country with the convenience of stores and such nearby. Its great for the kids, and for our big baby of a dog. Our dog is a female St. Bernard puppy, currently 9 months old, named Maizy. We’ve had her since October, and she fits in with our family much better than any other dog has.
Andy is going to Kindergarten and doing pretty well. Within the last couple months he has been having more hearing difficulties, so he has a doctor’s appointment coming up soon to see if he needs tubes put back into his ears. His teacher and I are really hoping that does the trick so he can get back to learning with the other kids. For now, he has special education for about 30 minutes every day. He needs that extra one-on-one attention to help him with enunciation.
Evan is Mr. Know-It-All. He is very intelligent, and loves doing pages from the preschool workbook I got for him. I am going to try to get him enrolled in either Head Start or Preschool of some sort this coming fall so he can get used to the structured school environment in preparation for Kindergarten. He has finally potty-trained himself (a couple months ago). He and Maizy are best friends.
Cory is only 2, but most of the time he acts and seems like he’s about 4. He can count to 7 (if he thinks no one is paying attention). He can dress and undress himself… he’s basically as self-sufficient as his brothers, if he wants to be. He’s quite stubborn and doesn’t want anyone to know how smart he is. I hope to get Cory into a Preschool program soon too. I think he would love it!

This is a true account written in my own words during the time it happened. I’ve lightly edited it for clarity in the present day (2026), with minimal exclusions, while keeping the original voice and meaning intact.

And what do you have to say about that?
