Spring Check-In

Andy is back in soccer this spring, and I’m also looking into getting him involved in some kind of martial arts. He really thrives when he has multiple outlets, and I think a few more structured activities would be good for him.

Evan is heading to Kindergarten roundup this week and will officially start Kindergarten in the fall. He also has a doctor’s appointment coming up because of a recent increase in behavioral challenges, both at home and at school. I’m hopeful we can get some clarity and support there.

And Cory is… well, Cory. He’s been following in Evan’s footsteps a little too closely lately. I’m hoping that being in a different class this fall will help him find his own footing and really settle into who he is, separate from his big brother.

As for me, I’m deep in a job hunt—and it’s proving to be harder than I expected. I’ve got childcare lined up and plenty of motivation, but finding someone willing to take a chance on an eight-year stay-at-home mom has been tough. If you believe in thoughts, prayers, or crossed fingers, please send them my way. I really need a job right now.

This is a true account written in my own words during the time it happened. I’ve lightly edited it for clarity in the present day (2026), with minimal exclusions, while keeping the original voice and meaning intact.

And what do you have to say about that?
