Jarrod’s daughter Zoey and her boyfriend Christian welcomed their beautiful daughter into the world on February 3rd! Jaylynn Morgan was 8 lbs 5 oz and 20 inches long, and born at 9:05 AM.

Jarrod, Felix and I went to meet her yesterday, now that everyone is home from the hospital, healthy and comfortable.

When Zoey handed Jaylynn to Jarrod, he said, “Hi! I’m your mom’s dad.”

I was standing right next to them, and I said, “he’s your grandpa.”

Jarrod said, “I’m your grandpa!” And then he repeated it a couple times, as though he was also telling himself, and becoming acquainted with his new title. He was in complete awe of her perfection.

Zoey is an absolute natural. She was so calm and comfortable with her brand new bundle of joy. Christian seemed really happy with her too. They make an adorable little family.

Felix was a little jealous when Jarrod was holding Jaylynn, and wasn’t real impressed with her just yet. I’m sure once a couple months passes and she’s more aware and interactive, Uncle Felix will be thrilled with her. He adores photos of happy babies, so I know he will love her.

Of course I got to snuggle her as well. I asked Zoey if I was “grandma” (since her dad and I have been so off and on and confusing with our relationship, in recent years), and she said yes! That really means the world to me because I don’t foresee having any biological grandchildren.

So Jarrod and I are Grandpa and Grandma now! To a beautiful, perfect baby girl named Jaylynn. ❤️
